Training to win God's Way!

Our kids sure had a workout for VBS 2004--but it was one they enjoyed as they learned to train to win God's way! God's All-Star Champions™ helped us in teaching our children to use the Full Armor of God in five very different Training Camps!

Training Camp 1 — Soccer shoes helped kids connect with the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace! Using the Story of Philip and the Ethiopian man in Acts 8:36-39, kids learned about sharing their faith.

Training Camp 2 — Bicycling helmets helped kids connect with the Helmet of Salvation! While learning about the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10, kids explored more about making wise decisions.

Training Camp 3 — A softball chest protector and mitts helped kids connect with the Breastplate of Righteousness and Shield of Faith! Studying about Elisha in 2 Kings 6:8-23, they learned about trusting in God's protection.

Training Camp 4 — Hockey sticks used in field hockey helped kids make the connection with the Sword of the Spirit! They studied 2 Chronicles 34—35 when King Josiah read the law to the people and learned to use God's Word.

Training Camp 5 — A mountaineer's harness helped kids in understanding the Belt of Truth! While learning about Peter in Matthew 26:69-75 and John 21:15-19, kids considered the importance of telling the truth.

In addition to all this, there were crafts, games, snacks, and a visit of the Pathway Puppets each night!  Make plans now to join the fun in the summer of 2005!
